Description : The Department of Natural Resources, DNR IT Custom Applications Section seeks to hire a Microsoft .NET Web Developer III to design, develop, test, implement and maintain features for applications in .NET & GIS in support of Fish, Wildlife and Parks Division (FWP), Bureau of Wildlife Management. The developer needs to provide reliable, responsive support and updates to these systems. This work requires @35-40 hrs/week for a candidate with advanced developer skillsets and experience. The most qualified candidate will have: • Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net Framework. • Coding experience in .Net framework, MVC including C#, VB.Net, Javascript and Bootstrap. • Advanced experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs. • Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL. • Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including repositories, version control, and deployments. • Experience applying Object Oriented Design. • Experience applying Standard Security methods to custom applications. • Experience in SSRS for developing reports. • Experience creating web APIs. • Experience following coding standards and best practices. • Experience with testing tasks such as identifying test scenarios, test data setup, execution, and documenting test results. • Experience utilizing the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and following IT Best Practices • Experience resolving technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. • Experience following Iterative/Agile/Scrum Methodologies for completing projects from Initiation through Implementation and Maintenance. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Collaborates with others and is a team player to ensure project success. Additional skillsets that will also be helpful: • Experience writing technical documentation. • Experience with SharePoint. • Experience working at DNR or in other Government agency. This position will work at the direction of the DNR IT Custom Applications Section Supervisor, Application Architect, Business Relationship Manager, Project Manager, and program Leads, utilizing DNR IT standards, software and tools.
