Job Description Tech Lead: Accounting, Supervisory Leadership Experience, Communication Skills, MS Excel Sap

GENERAL FUNCTION
Responsible for oversight 2 Sales Audit associates and detail and accounting reconciliation, reporting and journal entries for activity relating to retail store deposit activity accounts (including cash, credit card, and gift card). Administrator of ReconNET reconciling software, including performance of advanced mapping functions to support daily Sales Audit processes. Serves as a primary brand/IT partner for initiatives impacting sales and/or store deposits functions. Represents the company as relationship manager with bank and processor contacts.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as partner for IT initiatives relating to the POS, POSDM, and ECC SAP/AFS.
• Represent Sales Audit and Luxottica with bank and processor contacts.
• Independently identify innovative ways to improve efficiency of department functions and reduce expenses.
• Independently lead Oakley month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Independently prepare meaningful and actionable analyses.
• Review and ensure accuracy of all Oakley G/L account reconciliations within required control deadlines.
• Monitor department key performance indicators; evaluate results and identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify and communicate department issues to management.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to primary customers.
• Comply with and enforce established department and company internal controls.
• Demonstrate proficient knowledge and utilization of systems and software within area of responsibility.
• Assume additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as needed or directed.
• Mentor, develop and train associates. Develop and maintain desk manuals, and training materials.
• Assess performance of associates. Provide regular feedback and performance improvement plans or corrective action as necessary.
• Research and resolve issues and escalated matters.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Working knowledge and application of accounting concepts and principles in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ReconNET, SAP, and other systems
• Process improvement expertise including development of new approaches, processes, and solutions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Self-disciplined/self-motivated

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
• Bachelors degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or processing environment
• Supervisory experience required
