Description: • Provide insight into the changing ECM database storage and utilization requirements for the Division and offer suggestions for solutions • Analyze database migration and centralized database approach to make sure they are in line with ITSD Enterprise architecture team recommendations. • Develop and review database migration design and database architecture documentation for the management and executive teams • Oversee migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions by developing a conversion program • Strong knowledge of Master Data Management, Data Governance, and/or Enterprise Information Management • The Data Architect provides strategic direction and the technical expertise needed to meet the data architecture needs of the division • Managing the data warehousing process, including data design, data load processing, data validation, and exception reporting predominately. • Writing complex SQL queries in support of reporting, data delivery, ETL, and database maintenance • Hands-on coding to support data ETL processes and data delivery between various systems • Creating, testing and maintaining transformation logic and quality assurance filters in support of data integration processes • Ensures master data is coordinated across the Division, providing a unified master data service that is accurate, consistent and complete • Cleaning and standardizing master data • Identify orphans / bad data – determine how to fix • Drives the definition, requirements, and solutions for master data • Maintaining a master data list • Establishing, regularly updating and monitoring database performance baselines • Establishing and enforcing database system standards • Working with data stewards to develop and maintain database dictionaries and documentation • Managing the database system lifecycle by evaluating, planning, and guiding database management system upgrades (database engine, utilities, application tools, services, and operating system) • Forecasting, recommending, and planning changes to the underlying infrastructure which supports the enterprise database system, including the addition of storage and memory and configuration changes that enhance database availability and performance • Performing Data modeling using a Modeler tool • Supporting the scheduling of automated reporting jobs by customers and internal staff. • Serves as the subject matter expert on data ETL and data integration process • Performing other duties and assumes other responsibilities as required Skill Set Desired: 9+ years in a Senior Advisory role overseeing Data Migration efforts 9+ years experience defining and standardizing structure of centralized databases 9+ years analyzing methods for transforming existing data into a format for a new environment and the loading data into other database structures. 9+ years reviewing existing migration tools and providing recommendations for improving the performance of the migration process. 9+ years providing necessary change and support documentation for data migration efforts 9+ years experience migrating data 9+ years of full-time professional work experience in Information Technology 9+ years Data Warehousing Management 9+ years Senior Database   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
