Design, develop, document and implement EDI documents and transactions including, but not limited to, purchase orders, invoices, advance ship notices and payments. Onboard suppliers to multiple systems to enable EDI, Purchasing and AP transactions. Works closely with IT, Purchasing, Accounting and suppliers in the onboarding process. Reporting Relations Accountable and Reports to: AVP Application Development Support Positions that Report to you: None Primary Duties and Responsibilities Serve as an EDI mapping developer for all EDI processes for Hy-Vee and subsidiaries. Test and implement mapping and translation processes for all EDI processes. Assist business users, IT development and IT management with operational issues, questions, errors and feedback related to EDI processes. Monitor various reports and log files for errors; research and locate source of errors; and make necessary corrections to resolve errors. Work with EDI team to identify, define and document process improvement opportunities as needed. Work on multiple systems integrations and changes concurrently with focus on detail. Conduct analysis of business needs, document requirements and revise existing logic or create new logic as necessary. Formulate EDI scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of systems and data flow. Create and maintain supplier profiles in required systems. Act as an ambassador for Hy-Vee and regularly communicate with suppliers, other companies and internal departments to onboard, test, maintain and implement new and existing suppliers. Enter supplier onboarding requests into the project tracking system and maintain current status for reporting purposes. Demonstrate innovation, action, high levels of maturity and professionalism. Report to work when scheduled and on time. Secondary Duties and Responsibilities Attends meetings related to EDI processes and projects. Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 4-year MIS or computer science degree or 3-5 years previous related work experience preferred. Physical Requirements Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be physically able to perform sedentary work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 10 pounds, and occasionally standing or walking. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics Ability to identify problems, develop and execute solutions. Ability to organize and handle multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to proficiently interact with basic computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheet and email applications, as well as job-specific programs.
