Job Description :

Position Summary

The Data Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading the team that defines and executes the strategy for the data warehouse platform and supporting applications for the global organization. This position is responsible for defining best practices around enterprise class data platforms and developing core data engineering capabilities. They will manage a team of data engineers responsible for building solutions which are flexible, performant and scalable. The right candidate should have extensive knowledge of large, highly available data environments with an emphasis on quality and reliability. They will be responsible for the continued growth and support of the data warehouse environments, DWH teams business knowledge, and the appropriate application of the organizations policies. Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical background to help create and drive the data transformation strategy while providing awareness and champion the adoption of new BI and DW processes and technology. This position reports to the Director of Business Intelligence and will work closely with our Manager of BI and various IT teams.

Job Duties/Essential Functions

MANAGING PERFORMANCE: Coaches and mentors employees to provide support and guidance. Has regular open and honest conversations with employees to discuss work performance and career development. Identifies learning opportunities to strengthen employee knowledge, skill and ability.

COMMUNICATION: Regularly shares information with employees via meetings and one-on-one conversations. Successfully navigates difficult conversations with employees, members, and suppliers. Listens, expresses empathy and adapts to get point across. Addresses issues immediately to ensure a timely resolution and to avoid escalating the situation. Consistently demonstrates business knowledge during interactions with senior management.

SELF-MANAGEMENT: Demonstrates sound judgement, taking a partner when necessary. Ability to maintain self-control in the face of hostility or provocation or in intense, hectic situations.

INCLUSION: Encourages different approaches and ideas to work and to accomplish goals. Seeks employee input. Takes the time to get to know or reach out to candidates who show potential that may not come forward on their own.

COMPLIANCE AND SAFETY: Takes measures to ensure employee and member information is kept confidential and adheres to IS security policy.

This is a full-time management/leadership position (45+ hours per week).

Responsible for the technical teams that build and develop features and tools for the organizations data warehouse.

Provides leadership, mentoring, coaching, and career development planning for team members.

Actively participate in defining the strategic direction and technology roadmap for the organizations data warehouse.

Works with team members to define and implement standards and best practices.

Works with team members to define, implement, and support the departments service level agreement.

Drives adoption and ensure adherence to our existing development lifecycle.
