Job Description : Business Systems Analyst Associate 3-Months – Potential to Extend 1056675 This position supports the review and set up of supplier dispatch assignments for the clients store repair and maintenance needs supporting over 8,000 location in US and Canada. Requests for new and updated assignments need to be reviewed against standards and executed correctly and efficiently. Requires analytical and curious mindset. This is a support role requiring thoughtful analysis and careful execution. Extensive technical skills are not required but candidate must be comfortable and confident learning software systems. Candidate must be able to learn quickly and work well with a team of system administrators and other support professionals. Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects Business support team, support mostly systems within business development, training support. This is managing supplier matrix – SPAM, fairly complex process and system to keep it all straight. Its the way it has to be structured to know which supplier helps in certain situations. Constantly maintain updates and changes to the network. Current team cannot keep up with it and need someones help. Team: Mostly support analysts -strong technical background, no developers, but understand systems. Strong excel skills, good in general with software. Mainly focus on helping filed customers, those actually out in the market helping build and maintaining stores. Work very close together interact all the time. Will have someone help train them and then verify work for the first few weeks. Training – dont need super solid background, but need analytical thinker, need to know how to accomplish and how that fits within the standards. Always need for help – around the same system but providing general support. Typical Day in the Role Probably not extend or convert but the team is Launching a new module to the system in May – so hopefully will settle down by July but it may need to extend based on work load. Need to be able to be onsite for the most part – once work is verified they can discuss possibility of remote. Flexibility in work hours as long as work is getting done and validated. First few weeks will need to be around 9-5 Probably examine requests that come in through SMART (help desk type system) – user logs request comes to our team – we assign to individual, - then we break down what the customer is asking for – compare to standards and how we manage the supplier matrix and then make the changes in the system. Respond back to the user to verify and then close the request. Help desk type role but require analytical chops than most help desk roles. Candidate Requirements Must have an analytical mindset, attention to detail, talent learning complex software and processes. Must be tech savvy and able to learn new system functionality quickly Must be able to work well with the team and take direction well Basic to advanced Excel skills are a must (Pivot Tables, VLookup, graphs, charts, etc.) Outlook skills for email and calendaring SharePoint is a plus but not required Heavy technology skills are not required nor desired Be able to clarify work Not following a script have to be able to figure out outcome Dont want a hardcore software developer – that can be too complex for this role. Dont want someone who has just been in help desk and needs to be told what to do but need to think for themselves.
