Participate throughout the project life cycle, from planning to production implementation. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining the integrity of the EIW and Data Mart(s) ETL structures using the development guidelines. Description of Responsibilities Understand detailed business and technical requirements, including mapping to the Source, EIW and applicable data marts/extracts Perform Process Modeling whenever applicable for both Database Management and File Management processes Determine proper File Distribution Strategy including Staging wherever applicable Participate throughout the project life cycle from requirements to production implementation with emphasis on technical requirements and ETL development Participate in issue research and resolution for Production when appropriate Participate in business systems planning for integrated analytic needs. Participate in defining approaches and priorities for satisfying needs. Position Qualifications Required: 7-10+ years experience in ETL Development 2+ years experience working in the financial services industry Experience in writing SQL or using a query tool against a database Must be able to read and Data Models and Process Models Experience in modeling & designing of Data Warehouse & other Analytical Databases using both Relational and Dimensional Modeling Techniques Experience with ERWIN or related Data Modeling Tool Experience with Process Modeling Experience in several ID Management Strategies utilized in Analytical Environments. Combination of Experience & Knowledge of working with different technical environments such as Open Systems and Mainframe Combination of Experience & Knowledge of working with different File Management Systems for Batch Processing Combination of Experience & Knowledge of working with different Database Management Systems and their vendors for Batch Processing. Must be self motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills Proven oral and written communication skills; excellent business presentation skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units Experience in documenting transformation rules using algorithms and without using any SQL or Programming Language Jargon. Ability to Extract, Transform and Load data from source systems in to the Enterprise Information Warehouse and then modify as needed to the LOB Data Marts and Extracts we support using Ab Initio/DataStage Experience with ACCESS, VISIO, EXCEL and WORD Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/work experience Preferred: AbInitio and Teradata experience Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging technologies and trends in data warehousing   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
