Administrative departments heavily rely on the Administrative Computing department to provide consultation, business and system analysis, and support to their areas which are focused solely on their business functions. Client uses Banner from Sungard as its primary ERP solution. Banner provides an extensive Operational Data Store (ODS) and Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) extension. This solution consists of ODS and EDW Data Models implemented in Oracle, Extract/Transform/Load programs using Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWS) and COGNOS data frameworks to support Business Intelligence reporting. MSCD has selected COGNOS as the Business Intelligence (BI) tool to take advantage of the out-of-the-box Banner solution Position Descriptions : The project requires a team or appropriate individual who can execute and complete the defined work. We estimate that this work will require the approximate number of hours defined below. Qualifications (Mandatory): ODS/EDW Implementation Support • A minimum of two years of Oracle Warehouse Builder and Oracle Data Base experience. • Demonstrated success with three or more ELT projects from a 3nf relational database to star schemas (or one successful implementation of Banners ODS/EDW plus one other ELT project.) • Demonstrated query and database tuning experience • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and to lead and focus others on the work needed to be done. Cognos support • Demonstrated experience building at least three dashboards using Cognos • Demonstrated experience building at least three complex frameworks using Cognos 10 • Demonstrated experience working with users in implementing and training on Cognos for non-technical user “self-serve” • Demonstrated ability to work with non-technical users in a collaborative and supportive manner. (self-starter, initiative, good communication.) Data Quality Analysis • Demonstrated experience performing complex data quality analysis/data profiling in an Oracle or Cognos environment. • Demonstrated experience setting up and running a data quality process over at least a six month period. • Demonstrated ability to create complex PL/SQL data quality programs or Cognos reports. • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with non-technical users to “correct” the data quality issues. “Demonstrated” includes specific samples or examples of work (it can be anonymized) or narrative descriptions of specific work experiences that answer the above queries.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
