This is a 6 month contract position. Must be able to work directly on Apexs W2 Project Details: This position of Data Scientist will be working directly with the Modeling Team. The Data Scientist is responsible for analytical support and statistical modeling for the purpose of maximizing revenue. Accountable for driving valuable fact-based and quantitative consumer insights from internal systems and to synthesize key findings which inform business and strategic marketing strategies. The Data Scientist develops and executes statistical and mathematical predictive model solutions for business problems. * 10+ years practical experience with statistical modeling, ETL, data processing, database programming and data analytics * Extensive background in data mining and statistical analysis * Able to understand various data structures and common methods in data transformation * Excellent pattern recognition and predictive modeling skills * Need to understand and apply time series analysis, survival analysis, and boot strapping in prior experience * Experience in using not only regression based predictive techniques but advanced simulation and optimization techniques like Monte Carlo Markov Chain (Gibbs Sampler), Support Vector Machines, Hidden Markov Models. * Strong understanding of experimental and test-and-learn design concept and application * Preferred knowledge in recommendation engine methods i.e. collaborative filtering and content-based filtering, text mining, social network and sentiment analysis * Experience in Recommendation Engine would be a plus. * Experience in programing languages like SAS, Python, R is a must. *Candidates must be able to pass a background and drug test   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
