General Responsibilities: Be an active collaborator with business partners and across the organization, working hands-on technically with data while understanding key business drivers. Responsible for data analysis and visualization strategy across the Military Customer Fulfillment and Cost Entitlement teams Lead the digital effort to enable visibility of data flow and transformation across IT systems (order management, ERPs, shop, vendor, etc.) Drive self-service capabilities and build SQL automations of data insights, which may include writing custom scripts (eg SQL or Python) to ingest, transform, stitch and present data in Spotfire. Creation of advanced data views and queries that are optimized for one or more of data freshness, data quality, data velocity, read/write speed, and consumption mechanism Expertise in SQL for exploratory data analysis; generate visual summaries of data. Identify data quality issues. Demonstrated experience using Scripting languages with the ability to write complex SQL queries that is able to transform, pivot, and stitch big data sets, both relational and non-relational Expertise in Spotfire or similar data visualization platforms Excellent leadership skills (leading, influencing experience) and the technical coaching of others. Experience with Agile data modeling development and/or management methodologies Experience in data integration (EAI, EII, ETL, ELT) technologies. Ability to write custom scripts in Python, Java and/or SQL procedures to transform and pivot data Familiar with data quality principles, including proper metadata management. Address data quality and data compliance needs. Qualifications: Recommended: Exposure to and ability to execute analytics packages at scale in Python, R, Spark/MLlib Recommended: Experience with Agile project delivery frameworks Recommended: Experience with enterprise data visualization technologies (Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, etc.) Recommended: Experience with Amazon Web Services data technologies (RDS, Kinesis, QuickSight, etc.) Recommended: Familiarity with text search and mining technologies (Solr, ElasticSearch, Lucene, etc.) Recommended: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with product owners Recommended: Self-driven to learn new technology and build technical skill sets Strong project management skills with proven track record of successful delivery. Working knowledge of data lake ecosystems Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrate strong proactive and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Be flexible and adaptable to changing business models and organization structures and still be detail oriented. Multitask, manage time and priorities and be self-directed while maintaining high degree of organization. Preferred: experience working directly with business teams to deliver data and IT solutions (ex. Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.) Preferred: understanding of supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing business processes across a large corporation.
