The department Quality Assurance function in JHI is focused on building Total Quality culture in product teams and IT delivery teams. The function has varied set of capabilities including test management, test automation, testing practices, test environment management and SDLC/Agile delivery framework and tooling. Overview of the role You will be responsible for devising and executing an effective data test strategy that promotes a quality data platform solution. You will be partnering with various functions in understanding business need, helping devise testable data architectures, validating data implementations and creating scalable test solutions through automation. Duties and responsibilities You will: work closely with data architects, data developers and other delivery team members to ensure overall quality of centralized data platform solution deeply understand enterprise data architecture, related data principles and impacts to downstream systems; participate in architecture activities ensuring testability and ability to address both technical and business requirements collaborate with other Data Test Engineers in helping define, evolve and promote enterprise data test strategy execute tests against database objects including tables, views, schema changes, stored procedures, ETL scripts and ad hoc SQL statements perform validations using complex SQL statements and other tools (e.g. Query Analyzer, Redgate, etc.) create scalable test solutions through the identification, implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks responsible for all functional and regression testing activities related to assigned scope provide testing estimates and meet project testing timelines collaborate with delivery team and/or business partners in troubleshooting root cause of issues report bugs/errors discovered per standardized tools and processes promptly communicate discovered risk to delivery team and Quality Assurance manager look for opportunities to improve test execution and delivery mentor less experienced members of the team carry out additional duties as assigned. Supervisory responsibilities No Technical skills and qualifications Expert knowledge of practices, procedures and principles of testing Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle including basic agile principles Experience with utilizing (or architecting) test automation frameworks Deep understanding of relational databases Expert knowledge of complex SQL, database validation and querying tools Good understanding of data warehousing architectures (e.g. hub and spoke) Good understanding of master data management concepts; experience with CADIS a plus   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
