Plans, conducts, and coordinates programming application activities. Analyzes, designs and implements business application computer software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business problems, questions or processes. Develops statements of problems and requirements, designs systems and programs, and writes programs in computer language for solution by means of data processing equipment. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software subject matter to be programmed in business applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Typically, the Specialist level designs, specifies, implements, and maintains automated and manual systems. Documents computer programs for systems of moderate to high complexity. Screens requests for computer services, determines general customer requirements, develops and evaluates alternative systems solutions and functional specifications. Develops conversion plans and procedures. Translates high level specifications for software components into designs and implements the designs. Typically involved with complex software development issues that may arise in a production environment. Should have the ability to lead small technical teams, 1-2 associates, when necessary. Requires 5-10 years of progressive experience in systems analysis/programming using specialized languages in any combination of pertinent education and experience. Required Skills § Experience with Informatica 9.x § Business Objects xi - experience in universe designing, report development, and other general BO xi functions and features required. BO Dashboard experience is required. § Analyze, enhance, and maintain data warehouse system § Participate in project scope identification and data architecture development § Good problem solving, analytical, and communication skills § Exceptional interpersonal/team building skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization § Ability to work at a detailed level while maintaining an overall project perspective § Good organizational and time management skills •A strong self-starter Experience: § 3+ years of experience architecting, modeling, and building data warehouses § 2+ years of using Informatica PowerCenter ETL software. § 2+ years of SQL programming with Oracle SQL § 3+ years of experience developing BI applications with Business Objects XI with large scale deployment § Working knowledge of dimensional data modeling and star schema design § Strong ability to build consensus; ability to influence others § Experience working both independently and in a team oriented collaborative environment § Strong experience in current software engineering and solution delivery methodologies   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
