The Application Engineer:

Is responsible for the development & coding complete hands-on, with BI development using SSAS, backend database Sql server 2008 R2 & Oracle big plus. Candidate should have clear understanding dimensional modeling and ETLs for Dimensions and Facts, worked with DSVs and creating custom dimensions. Experience with ETLs for Cube and dimension. This position will also review existing Reports and modify them as per business requirement, Work experience with KPIs and Dashboard reporting is a must. Good Understanding of DataMarts/ Data warehouse Concepts and Good understanding of MOLAP/ROLAP Cubes structure. This position can create first level program and systems designs and will develop highly maintainable software by anticipating future changes and providing code flexibility. This position will also comprehend all detailed requirements before starting to design or code the solution.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Design and Develop MOLAP/ROLAP/HOLAP Cubes using SSAS/SSIS/SSRS
* Create SQL/MDx, DMx and XMLA queries and should built custom functions SSAS.
* Create KPIs and Dashboard reporting using SSAS and Performance Point as per Business unit requirement.
* Create and schedule cube with data updates
* Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test cases.
* Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates.

Job Specifications:

* Design, prototype build, code, document and unit test solutions for projects.
* Determine level of effort to design, build, and code, document and unit test so that estimates can be provided to the Technical Supervisor.
* Contributes to the creation of solid coding techniques and recommends and reviews coding standards.
* Analyze application requests and business requirements for completeness and understanding.
* Keeps abreast of trends and developments in IT and mortgage insurance.

Technical Experience:

· 10-15 years of experience

· ETL Design Experience

· Data Modeling – Star Schema Design

· Minimum of 3-6 years programming experience

· Demonstrable Software Development experience

· Knowledge of database architecture and design

· Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.

· Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines.
