Ensure identification and implementation of appropriate controls for solutions/systems/interfaces across platforms and applications. Perform risk/vulnerability assessments as required. Lead the develop of solutions and consult with stakeholders to help define requirements, work to understand secure options, and design specific systems, applications, or processes for a complex and demanding operational environment. A strong technical background in application and network security is highly desired. Essential Functions: • Influential: is able to bring disparate opinions into accord, builds lasting partnerships within the agency, and, has a history of enabling the organization to deliver or utilize new products, services, processes, and technologies • Creates compelling stories: demonstrates the ability to apply multiple techniques (like business cases, use cases, UML, etc.) to communicate complex ideas, clearly, and directly with people at any level in the firm • Provides complex integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals. • Oversees the development of plans for integration of new systems architecture into current infrastructure. • Develop comprehensive and strategic business cases with cost/benefit dimensions of proposed projects and programs that are used at management and executive levels for funding and scope decisions. • Ensures the appropriate business process assessment and analysis is completed to identify business process gaps and impacts as they pertain directly to projects and programs. • Consults and directs identification of alternative uses of technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems and that support overall corporate and business goals that are appropriately aligned with the enterprise architecture. • Acts as a resource for lower-level staff. Provides on-the-job training on techniques and methodologies at lower levels. Provides knowledge transfer as appropriate. Qualifications: Bachelors in Computer Science or related field 8+ years of professional experience designing and analyzing security systems & applications Experience designing end-to-end security solutions Leadership within the application security landscape Experience with system-level software, operating system internals, and sandboxing technology Comfort with network protocols at all layers of the OSI model Experience with vulnerability assessments, monitoring tools, audits, etc..
