Job Description : Role: Developer Enablement Engineer Location: Eagan, MN Duration: 12/31/2021 – contract to hire Our client is going through an exciting technology transformation and is building a team to offer solutions, support, and automation for all IT organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with application development in JAVA, the use an a strong understanding of the CI/CD toolsets, has an automation and continuous improvement mindset, understands testing automation, and agile methodologies. Our client is looking for someone to help drive the adoption of the CI/CD practices with our development teams. This person will enagage with development teams to leverage their development experience to promote the use of our tools and a DevOps mindset. As a part of our team, this person will also be responsible for staying current with enterprise standards, industry standards and technologies, methodologies and best practices. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES IN THIS ROLE Work with development teams to help them understand how to leverage our CI/CD toolset and coach on an automation and continuous improvement mindset Able to design and implement automated tasks within the team Understanding and ability to create test automation Work in an agile methodology, with a focus on the SAFe Framework Assist in establishing and driving the adoption of CI/CD practices Responsible for staying current with enterprise and industry standards, technologies, methodologies and best practices WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? / WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED? Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Minimum 3 years of experience in application development (focus on JAVA) Ability to identify issues, support and provide real time solutions for them Strong knowledge of framework/technologies: Git, Jira, CI & CD tools, artifact repository tools, and automation scripting via Ansible, etc. Automation experience with GUI tools like Selenium and Unit testing frameworks like JUnit Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written to multiple levels of the organization Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, other IS areas, and clients in other departments Strong ability to work on assigned and self-directed tasks with an emphasis on delivering results WHAT ELSE?
