Job Description : Duties: Understand existing System design and its components and make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Analyze business requirements, design, implement and integrate components. Develop design documentation artifacts. Designing, coding, testing and deployment of code (MemSQL), DDLs, Table designs (Rowstore/Columnstore) and Reference tables. Data profiling and creation of table structures with proper sharding/partitioning keys to have stable data distribution across the partitions. Drive all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to database optimization, including SQL development. Understand and implement the system development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques using an agile framework. Deployment of code to QA, UAT, and Production in CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Development) technique with Git. Skills: 7+ years of ETL application development and implementation experience. 4+ years of hands-on development experience in coding SQL, PL/SQL OR MPSQL in MemSQL. Strong expertise in query optimization, execution and utilizing the plan and profiling results. Strong expertise in SQL Concepts, writing complex queries, query optimization, UNIX shell scripting. Experience working in a Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) database. Strong understanding of SQL Concepts, ETL processing, Distributed Systems, Parallel Processing architecture Good experience in optimized data modeling, logical and physical database designs. Able to perform performance tuning of slow-running queries and MPSQL code.
