Description:

This document outlines the description and expected outcomes for a staff augmentation services contract to support the E&M Training department within the Engineering and Maintenance (E&M) division of the MBTA.
General Description of This Staff Augmentation Role

Specifically, we are looking for a consultant with experience 1) implementing a Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) Learning Management System project and 2) performing CSOD Learning Management System (LMS) System Administration and Learning Administration tasks. The individual in this role will report to the Director of Training, E&M.

Responsibilities

The individual in this role will assist with the implementation of a Cornerstone OnDemand LMS that is in the late Pilot stage (post UAT; data has been loaded to Production instance).

The major responsibilities for this role include:

• Validating records loaded from existing PeopleSoft v9.2 HRIS, e.g. courses, session, employee transcripts, etc.

• Creating various learning objects (e.g., events, sessions, tests, materials, videos, curricula, checklists, evaluations, email templates, etc. within the LMS, using our naming conventions

• Creating standard and custom reports

• Creating and testing workflows, email notifications and user groups and permissions

• Troubleshooting issues encountered during implementation and go live

• Interfacing with CSOD vendor and implementation partner to ask questions and resolve issues
• Working with MBTAs IT and PeopleSoft HRCMS teams to ensure inbound data feed of users, organizational units and transcripts is configured and operating properly

• Recommending process improvements and/or different possible approaches to ensure the system is well designed and built. equipped

• Assisting with creation of training/instructional aids for instructors, managers and end users

• Training the CSOD LMS Learning Administrator

• Working with instructors, vendor, implementation partner, instructors to support the upkeep and execution of our training content and managing our division-wide learning management system (LMS) on a daily basis

• Communicating and working collaboratively across the organization to maximize performance and end-user engagement with the LMS

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned based upon interest and competency.

• Setting up Connect social media module with collaboration forums
• Helping to support/advise enterprise-level and domain-level LMS admins
• Ensuring the set-up and proper operation of the Inbound data Feed for Learning (historic transcripts continuously downloaded form HRCMS

Required Skills/Competencies:

• Current or recent implementation of a CSOD LMS.
• Current or recent CSOD LMS System Administration experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills.

Desired outcomes from staff augmentation

Through this contract for services, E&M seeks to accomplish the following outcomes:

• Expedite and complete all remaining implementation tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to, building and testing the workflow from end to end.
• Conduct a successful go live of E&Ms CSOD LMS.
• Roll out of the required communication and training.
