Job Description : The City of Tacoma is kicking off an analytics project using data from its ECC 608 Suite on HANA 1.0 system leveraging Live Views for self-service reporting in the area of financial/budget/HCM/payroll with regards to budget and financial reporting. We are seeking an expert in HANA Live Views to extend and build views on our financial data for budget and financial reporting. We are looking for an expert architect that understands the SAP Financial and HCM/Payroll modules, tables and views for master and transactional data. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of SAP experience, experience with building out analytics in an SAP ECC environment, data architecture skills, data modeling, design, HANA Live and SQL. Microsoft Power BI products knowledge is highly desired. Working knowledge of ABAP is considered a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to interpret business requirements and draft and build out the data architecture and design. This person will immediately begin working with the project manager and core team In parallel, the person will also be designing the set-up of our analytics infrastructure and mentoring core team. Deliverables: Participate in workshops with the business. During these workshops the HANA Data Architect will be expected to lead the technical team, translate the business requirements in to a technical requirement that has enough detail to build the data models and HANA Live views for consumption by Power BI. This person will be responsible for the overall design from top to bottom of the data model from the table level to the model view. This person should also be able to help solve known problems with hierarchies using SQL. Develop naming standards and provide the best practice recommendations on analytics governance. Recommend best practices and methods for infrastructure design of our analytics landscape that includes ECD 6.08 Suite on HANA, Amazon Web Services, ASW data lake and Power BI Service. We are in the process of standing down our SAP BW system and will not be using the system. Consultant will be on site 4 days/week. No additional expenses. Times, budgets and dates are approximate.
