The CLIENT HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE provides a common, secure electronic information infrastructure for sharing health information among health care providers and organizations and offers health care providers the functionality to achieve Meaningful Use and a high level of patient-centered care. Position: Project Manager – The Project Manager will be housed with the CLIENT HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE technical team that works closely with key stakeholders (hospitals, providers, EHR vendors, labs, Department for Medicaid Services, etc.) across the Client helping them with the technical development needed to connect to CLIENT HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE and assisting in the resolution of interface issues or problems. Project Managers primary activity will be implementing Electronic Case Reporting across multiple EHR vendors. The Project Manager will be responsible for coordination, planning, and organization of the development, implementation, and maintenance activities for this new projects. Provides analysis and negotiation of project scope, budget, schedule and performance management of the CLIENT HEALTH INFORMATION EXCHANGE vendor contracts. Assists with planning of resources for projects. Monitors and tracks project risks, issues, budget and schedule. Keeps business sponsors and management advised of project status. Skill sets required: At least 2 years project management experience on healthcare related projects. Experience with HL7. Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and contracts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, key internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts. Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and appropriately communicate information to a diverse group: executives, managers, key internal and external stakeholders, and subject matter experts. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional Specifications, Technical Design Documents, Use Cases, Test Cases, Interface Designs, and reviews of vendor provided documentation). Skill sets preferred: Five years experience working with large scale healthcare-related projects including hospital information systems. 2-3 years experience working with vendor and contract management. 2-3 years experience working with government-related projects. 2-3 years experience working with HL7 messaging. At least 2 years experience working on public sector healthcare-related projects using HL7 messaging assisting with system and user acceptance testing efforts. Experience implementing EMRs in hospitals or doctors office.
