DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of College Web site team, generally responsible for developing and supporting ten or more interactive websites and their respective databases to sustain the Colleges and SIMTs internal functions and marketing needs as well as disseminate useful, accurate information to the students and community. This position will be specifically focused on the development and re-development of www.teachingtechnicians.org. Creates, analyzes, and customizes complex Web-based applications in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, SQL, tSQL, CSS, and/or other code as needed. Under the supervision of the Website Director, responsible for database administration including developing SQL databases, tables, views, scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and best practices as well as maintenance and security of Web/database server system integrity. Assists the Website Director in developing and managing multiple college Web sites including daily maintenance of Web pages. Works with all college departments and SiMT to continuously improve the functionality and design of the college and SiMT Web sites. REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 1. Programming experience in HTML, ASP, ASP.NET VB, JavaScript, VBScript, SQL, tSQL, and CSS is a must. 2. Visual Studio 2010, Adobe CS5 Products (Dreamweaver, Acrobat) experience is needed. 3. Must be a team player with good communication skills and is able to work independently. PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE): 1. Experience with AJAX, JQuery, and C# is considered a definite plus. 2. SharePoint 2010 development experience is needed. REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in computer science, mathematics, or equivalent and two (2) years experience in Web site development and database design and management.
