The software we develop not only adds convenience to the daily life of our subscribers, but safety and security as well; when the worst happens, our software helps to save lives. We are seeking a motivated and passionate automotive/Telematics Automation Test Engineer to help us create, extend, and maintain the core of our automation frameworks for functional, load and performance tests. The ideal candidate will have a provable track record of designing, implementing, and automated testing sophisticated software architectures and will have been directly responsible for writing comprehensive software test script, execute and analyze test reports. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and within a team environment along with previous development background. Duties and Responsibilities: Works with Agile teams to understand end-to-end system functionality Design, implement, document and execute automation test frameworks and suites which can deliver comprehensive automated test coverage with a balanced maintenance and sustainability strategy Solves complex automation challenges and works on complex projects with minimal supervision Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management Assist with executing non-functional testing in terms of performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems Monitor quality in production and non-production environments Maintain and update automated test systems as functionality changes evolve the products Work Independently to help build Test automation framework and develop automation scripts IS able to code and build scripts for functional, load, and performance type testing Supervisory Responsibilities: None Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors (BSc) in engineering, computer science, or a combination of equivalent education and experience 3+ years of experience as a software automation engineer with experience in multiple development languages and platforms delivering multiple commercially deployed products to market Requirements and General Skills: Experience with automation testing Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and skills Excellent problem-solving skills Familiarity with agile software development methodologies Willingness to learn new technologies - often very quickly Technical Skills: Proven working experience Java development and object oriented design Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium/Appium, Telerik Test Studio, Microfocus Silk Knowledge of AJAX, HTTP, REST, XML, JSON and SQL technologies Experience coding and/or scripting of Python, JavaScript, Perl or Bash programs Experience with testing in an agile workflow utilizing TDD/BDD best practices in a continuous integration environment Experience with Cloud testing on AWS, GCP or Azure is a plus Experience with JMETER is a plus Proficient computer skills, experience with the Atlassian Development Suite (Confluence, Jira, BitBucket), Microsoft Office Suite (Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
