WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Work as a member of the Enterprise Monitoring Team supporting Splunk and App Dynamics environments. Lead the team to migrate applications to the Splunk environments, coordinating with the app service teams. Provide day-to-day support which includes incident management, problem resolution, request fulfillment, system administration, infrastructure monitoring, and performance indicator monitoring and trending. WHAT IS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE Minimum 5-8 years of experience designing and implementing Splunk-based solutions. Thorough understanding of Splunk architecture, including configuration files. Previous project experience maintaining Splunk components (indexer, forwarder, search head) Experience onboarding new data sources and setting up alerts (formatting, standardization, etc.) Experience writing Splunk queries to create complex Splunk dashboards using XML. Previous experience implementing Splunk Best Practices (apps, add-ons, searches, etc.) Ability to write regex to perform field extractions at search time. Knowledge of app creation, user and role access permissions. Solid understanding of Application and Infrastructure Performance Management Internet Information Services (HTTP, SSL) Previous experience with large software implementations in a Windows environment Ability to adapt quickly and learn new skills. Shows initiative and works with a sense of urgency. Ability to maintain an enterprise level perspective while understanding how all system level components interact.
