Our client is looking for a Solution Architect to fill a 6+ month (long-term) contract position. * The purpose of the Solution Architect role is to work with the partner Solution Architects to manage the RTM and scope of projects and programs. * The Solution Architect supports the development of and assures the quality of solution options. * The Solution Architect attends Governance forums (e.g. Solution Integration Group) to review and approved solution options. * The Solution Architect reviews and approves design deliverables (F.S., T.S., CTM, LTM, PTM, FAD) * The SA will ensure a quality solution design by maximizing common solutions, common of the shelf solutions and enterprise architecture * The Solution Architect will work with Enterprise Architecture, Partner Solution Architects and solution vendors to ensure the integrity of the solutions and that they meet the business requirements. * The Solution Architect may move between projects and technology solutions to meet with project work load. * The Solution Architect role will cover work from concept/mandate stage of the project life cycle through to post project delivery. Required Skills: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field Experience applying standard architectures and patterns within solution designs. Knowledge of business analysis techniques, tools and requirements gathering. Knowledge of basic networking concepts and design practices including; HTTP/S, TCP/IP, load balancers, firewalls, proxies. Knowledge of various hosting environments and platforms (DC On Prem, Cloud, Azure, IaaS/PaaS, AWS) Knowledge of integration techniques. Minimum of 5 years solution design experience at an enterprise level. Good written and verbal communications skills.
