Key Job Requirements for AWS Migration Role include: Capture migration requirements Migration of web applications and services that are hosted on multiple servers and platforms to AWS Assist with creating cloud migration strategies; defining delivery architecture, creating the migration plans, designing the orchestration plans, and more. Assist in creating and executing of migration run books. Determine source cloud (Physical, Virtual and Cloud) and target Workloads Use troubleshooting skills and work closely with operations, support, engineering and/or other functions to ensure successful migrations Excellent working knowledge of AWS cloud products, competitors cloud products, reference architecture, in-depth API Knowledge (Preferred: Verizon CaaS) Ideal candidate would be a practitioner that recognizes design patterns of enterprise and cloud aware apps and makes recommendation to integrate with AWS 3-5 years of hands-on experience with deployment of applications to Amazon Web Services 3+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure migration, software re-platforming, systems administration, or migration software vendor solutions for the cloud. Contribute to managing and monitoring of systems health and automated alerts 5+ years Systems Design/Programming (Linux or Windows) Handle off hours Migration tasks when required Frequently and effectively learn new skills and technologies General Job Requirements: Primary Requirements: o IIS versions 6 and 7 administration: configuration and troubleshooting, web farm management o Experience with SVN and GIT Repository o Windows Server administration and troubleshooting: Active Directory, access controls, performance monitoring o Knowledge of networking concepts as they relate to the Internet: routing, load balancing, DNS o Experience with all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above o Write SQL scripts for ad-hoc report generation o Knowledge and experience of HTTPS security protocols and SSL Certificate administration/troubleshooting o Server administration for Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP ecosystem: setup, configuration, installation, upgrades, troubleshooting o Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux shell scripting for automation o Basic knowledge of web markup and scripting technologies o Strong working knowledge and competence administering and troubleshooting web applications and environments. 2+ years experience in general skills listed above Degree in Computer Science or related field required Being commutable into New York City offices and Berkley Heights offices a requirement.
