The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation built on modern development methodologies (TDD, Kanban/Agile, OOD), and possess strong communication and collaboration team skills. Performance Insights is a SaaS application in the reporting, analytics, data science and big data space for marketing customers and integrates with other applications in the Acoustic marketing portfolio. The Campaign application is the centerpiece of Acoustics marketing portfolio. We use cutting edge technology to provide Marketers with the best tools for engaging their customers. The Acoustic Engineering team is a highly innovative Agile / DevOps team working on an exclusively Cloud / SAAS Platform. You will be part of a team working on challenging problems, using some of the latest technology (AWS, Docker, React, Angular , Kafka, Java, DB2, Kubernetes, Marathon, Mesos and more). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Define, design, implement and test software applications using a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to: Java , Relational databases, No SQL Databases, Spring, ORM, JavaScript, React, HTML, and scripting languages. ? Validate throughput requirements by working with the Performance Engineering team. ? Align teams designs with Acoustics larger architecture objectives. ? Assist team members in design discussions and decisions. ? Perform code and design reviews with other team members. ? Mentor and coach team members to improve product quality and development efficiency. ? Work with the support organization to respond and investigate customer issues. ? Produce documentation for the work done so support and other members of the team understand the changes to the product. ? Interact with the Quality Analysts to define test plans and test data; identify, reproduce, and document defects; fix and verify defects. ? Interact daily with the Product Management team to clarify requirements or suggest changes during the implementation of the enhancements. ? Interact with the User Experience (UX) team to identify, design and implement the user interface portions of the WCA applications. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: ? Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Java programming, including client-server and RDBMS layers required. PostgreSQL experience desired. ? Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Java, Spring, ORM required. ? Proficiency with HTML and JavaScript/Ajax required. Position Description ? JUnit or other unit testing methodologies required. ? Experience with automated integration testing frameworks (FitNesse, Cucumber, etc) ? Familiarity with Hadoop stream big data and reporting schema designs (e.g. star, snowflake schemas) highly desired ? Experience building multi-tenant SaaS web applications in a cloud environment required. ? Agile product development experience required. ? Ability to collaborate effectively with highly technical and non technical resources in a fast-paced environment required ? Ability to solve complex challenges/problems and rapidly delivering innovative solutions required ? Scrum/Kanban (Scrumban) experience desired. ? Experience with Git / Github, Kubernetes, Docker desired ? AWS Cloud native application architecture experience desired ?
