These talented employees are the drivers of analyzing, designing, developing, testing, debugging, implementing and integrating new or existing data and Analytic applications into the technical infrastructure and existing business processes. In this role you will primarily work with the Hadoop ecosystem and various analytical tools. You will also drive efficiencies by working with application vendors for issue resolution and provides technical leadership to his/her team and customers. You will use your solutions-oriented approach and high work ethic, along with excellent communication and process management skills, to mentor internal customers and teammates on Hadoop technology and data modeling practices. Please note this role provides 2nd level support on a rotational basis along with development activities. Highly desired qualifications include: Thorough understanding of Hadoop Architecture & Ecosystem Experience in installing, configuring and maintaining enterprise Hadoop environment Loading data from different datasets and deciding on which file format is efficient for a task Experience with Batch data loading using Sqoop , Pig and Hive Experience with real-time data ingestion using Kafka , Spark and Hbase/Mongo DB Solid knowledge of Rest Services and experience writing Rest Services sourcing from HBase/Phoenix & Hive Maintain various Hadoop Application Jobs (Control M knowledge is a plus) Experience in loading Unstructured/transactional data in Hadoop Good Hadoop Administration experience - Access, Service Maintenance, job restarts, migrations etc. Experience in troubleshooting Hadoop Service issues by analyzing various service log files Experience working in a Hadoop Kerberized environment Fine tuning Hadoop applications for high performance and throughput Experience in Java Experience in at least one of the languages - Python, R, Scala Expert in Linux/Unix Shell scripting Job Overview This position will work on Hadoop Cluster Administration and Maintenance; It would also include working in various development projects related to Hadoop data ingestion and consumption. Employees in this role possess an intimate knowledge of the business data and its use in a business context and act as a facilitator to perform business process analysis.
