Job Description: Lead BI Architect Overview: The Lead BI Architect is a high level role responsible for ensuring the Business Intelligence (BI) Team plays an proactive role in providing thought leadership for long range BI strategic planning. This includes alignment with enterprise architectural projects and key business partners to develop BI, Data, and Marketing technology platforms which enable the business in critical decision making, marketing solutions, and analytic capabilities, in support of providing USC customers the best possible experience. This includes determining and implementing BI best practices, including analytic, system stability, availability, and performance capabilities. Additionally, the role participates in administration and support of US Cellulars Enterprise BI platforms in a 24x7 production environment. This position provides team leadership as appropriate. Role Specific Responsibilities: • Proactively partner with Enterprise Architecture, providing thought leadership on advanced creative BI, Analytic, and Marketing solutions for greater business value & reduced costs • Plan and Lead BI environment growth projects through continuous improvement and best practices • Build partnerships with IS and Business teams in architecting BI/DW solutions • Provides leadership to business teams consulting on matters related to data, security, data models, etc. • Lead strategic design and development of semantic layers, system performance monitoring, and statistical reporting for BI, Analytic, & Marketing platforms • Provide operational administrative support of environments • Provide leadership in requirement gathering, resolving ambiguity and conflicts, ensuring accuracy • Manage change control for BI/Marketing environments • Develops and performs platform impact analysis due to architectural and environmental changes • Develops and leads test strategies as needed • Communicate effectively in verbal and written English • Demonstrate ability to work effectively with executive levels as well as in team environments • Communicate status / risks to manager regarding delivering solution on time • Assumes “leadership” role of challenges, finds solutions, drives to success • Proactively seek out and integrate cross technology initiatives • Provides coaching/training to junior members of team as appropriate • Build strong relationships with business and IS stakeholder leadership • Participates in on-call schedule; off-hours support as required. Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience required • Lead BI Architect: 12+ years relevant work experience required • Experience architecting BI, Data, or Marketing operations solutions required • Experience as a platform administrator required • Experience with Reporting/Dashboard development required • Experience installing/upgrading BI applications, including understanding hardware impacts required • Experience in BI Strategy and implementing successful BI architectural changes required • Experience with of application performance factors, monitoring tools and tuning procedures required • Experience with change management related to BI objects and platforms required Preferred Experience includes: • Hand on development work with SAS RTDM, SAS CI360 (aka SAS Marketing Automation), SAS Viya, SAS Enterprise Guide, Python, Jython and R with GITHUB experience. • Development of solutions leveraging Oracle and Hadoop (big data) • Installing/upgrading, configu   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
