Analyzes complex systems requirements, existing business processes, and information systems. Codes, tests, and debugs documents, and implements software applications. Undertakes complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Coordinates with users to determine requirements that are more complex. This position would be part of our Big Data and Data Insights team, helping Sun Life build out a world class Enterprise Data Lake on Hadoop, enable real time streaming analytics, and help construct our advanced analytics platforms. Basic Qualification: 6-8 Years of Experience in Data Lake ( Big Data) development (Horton works) work experience Scala/Spark, KAFKA, Map Reduce, Tez, PIG, R, Python, Java, C++ Experience with HDFS, HIVE, SQOOP and NoSQL DB (Hbase, MongoDB) 3-4 Years of experience Data Lake Management tools Like Podium/ Talend/ Syncsort/ Diyotta with experience working with ingestion & publishing (Intake/Outbound) frameworks with all types of sources (RDBMS, Files, JSON, XML, Events, Data Streams etc.) Experience with Visualizations on Hadoop (Zeppelin, LOGi, Tableau) 3-4 Experience with Hadoop Administration, Hadoop Security modules (Ranger, Atlas) with strong architectural and performance oriented design patterns 3-4 years experience working with enterprise scheduling tools Autosys 6-8 Years of Demonstrated knowledge and application of ETL, Data Warehousing best practices 6-8 Years of Experience with SQL against relational databases preferably with Oracle database platforms 10g and above on Linux/Unix. 3-5 years of Experience in SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS Experience working with high volume, high velocity data Strong of Experience in collaboration with DBAs, data modelers, and business analysts Under minimal supervision, effectively analyze and resolve medium to moderately large risk production problems related to assigned applications, assess alternatives and implement long-term solutions. Successful performance includes demonstrated ownership and timely responses to production problems and business unit inquiries Responsibilities Provide business analysis and programming expertise within an assigned business unit/area in the analysis, design, and development of business applications. Formulate and define application scope and objectives; devise and modify procedures to solve Business problems. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written, and design, code, test Debug and document programs. Participate in business and IT project estimation activities. Provide technical leadership for small to medium-scale projects. Utilize business knowledge to collaborate and offer technical solutions. Be self-guided and complete tasks with minimum assistance.
