Job Description:
Works collaboratively with clients and stakeholders - both external and internal to HP - to research and elicit, analyze, validate and document business requirements, and to ensure that those requirements clearly reflect true business needs, correctly representing all stakeholders. Translates business needs into system/ application requirements and project components to help determine solutions to business problems. Assists team members in producing functional requirements for tool development. Proactively identifies and manages changes to requirements and identify risks for HPs clients. Effectively manages clients expectations. Applies industry and information technology expertise to support proposals, feasibility studies, implementations and new business development.
Job Qualifications:
1-3 years BA experience with defining software functional specifications and executing functional tests.
Experience with healthcare clinical and/or billing terminology & applications is a plus but not required
Job Specific Skills/Special Functions:
1. Prior experience working with healthcare systems required.
2. Prior experience working with MMIS preferred.
3. Requirements determination using structured techniques for documentation, analysis, evaluation/ validation.
4. Decomposition of high-level information into details.
5. Abstracting low-level information.
6. Distinguishing requests vs. needs.
7. Distinguishing requirements vs. solutions.
8. Classifying/ prioritizing requirements.
9. Requirements change management and traceability.
10. Identifying risks.
11. Applying creativity to solving complex problems.
12. Building relationships and working collaboratively.
13. Effective verbal/ written communication.
14. Experience in an industry domain.
15. Developing structured user manuals and training.
16. Business rules modeling.
17. Develop and executing acceptance test plans.
Responsibilities:
1. Formulate and define system scope and objectives using knowledge of information technology and industry knowledge/ requirements.
2. Act as a liaison between client and technical solutions/ support groups, using strong communication skills to elicit, document, analyze and validate business processes, systems, and solution requirements.
3. Research, identify, and specify solutions to problems.
4. Support and conduct visualization, user experience and configuration elements of solution design.
5. Document requirements specifications using high-maturity methods, processes and tools.
6. Support requirements management and change management processes.
7. Support aspects of the business cycle, including proposals, feasibility studies, and implementations.
8. Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
