Job Description : Under general direction, this position utilizes research and customer contact to identify solutions that are suited to current and future needs of the customer community. As part of that process, he/she will perform detailed technical analysis based on customer requirements, translating requirements into detailed specifications and deliverables, and managing requests for changes to requirements or specifications. This position is responsible for moderate to complex analysis activities to triage, validate and identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and root cause in order to support decision making processes. The incumbent is responsible for high level project definition, feasibility assessment and initial cost assessment of projects. What youll do • Engage customer community and facilitate cross functional team discussions to ensure a thorough understanding of customer objectives, and requirements. • Develop clear and concise documentation of customer objectives, requirements and detailed specifications. • Perform impact analysis, provide feedback on customer change requests, draw conclusions and recommend resolution. • Identify improvement opportunities through analysis • Identify emerging trends in IT solutions in order to better align technical solutions with customer needs and ensuring the delivered solution meets customer requirements • Understand process analysis and cost versus benefit analysis; and apply these skills routinely. • Follow industry standard methodologies and guidelines to manage and execute project activities. • Research, inform and recommend opportunities to apply business and technology solutions to areas of assigned responsibilities. • Provide mentorship and direction to more junior analysts within the team. • Act as liaison with customers to coordinate new system implementations as well as change control for upgrades and maintenance. • Develop and retain strong positive relationships with constituents. • Develop and publish procedures, enforce Premera policies and standards • Develop and maintain knowledge of Premera IT systems What youll bring • Bachelors degree or four (4) years work experience. Five (5) years experience in Information Technology • Degree in Computer Science. • Proven experience in documenting detailed specifications. • 8+ years in an IT environment in healthcare industry • Project Management experience. • Working knowledge of analytical tools, relational databases and PC applications. • Proven ability to analyze complex data, processes, configuration tools and methodologies. • Promotes teamwork and leads by example, while also successfully collaborating across functions and departments. Unquestionable ethics and integrity is pertinent. • Customer-focused, with demonstrated experience and ability to be flexible with changing priorities, demands and requests. • Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, demonstrated ability to proactively prevent problems from occurring and work issues to resolution. • Ability to identify and triage issues and generate a solution that considers downstream impacts, while also having the ability to troubleshoot from different perspectives. • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate, both verbally and in writing, while also interacting successfully within and outside of department on multiple levels. Capable of influencing others in area of expertise • Demonstrates an understanding of impacts or results and exercises good judgment.
