Complete Description: Years of Experience: 3 or more years field experience Education: 2 year college degree or equivalent technical study These products and services include networks, client/server systems, mainframe systems, desktop application software, online education software, peripheral devices, and others The DHS OIS IT service desk in the primary support for DHS CO users and is the secondary support to all DHS Divisional IT Service Desk staff. Responsibilities • Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and applications problems. Resolve as many user-reported problems as expertise permits using available tools and following procedures and policies for the handling of support cases • Perform question/problem diagnosis guiding users through step-by-step solutions • Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed • Provide accurate and timely logging of problems and resolution for problems in the Alloy problem management database • Escalate problems as appropriate following Service Desk procedures • Act as a liaison between customers and internal support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation • Solve problems on Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007 with equal proficiency • Review and update Help Desk documentation as assigned • Uses advanced troubleshooting skills • Utilizes superior customer service skills   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
