Description: OBJECTIVE: This position under general supervision of the IT Client Services Supervisor or the TOC Level 2 team lead will provide advanced-level remote desktop computer support and support in projects. Some of the support responsibilities include: Support of desktop/laptop, mobile devices, computer hardware and peripherals, Windows and Mac operating systems, and application software. Install and troubleshoot hardware, software, printers and network connectivity issues using acceptable best practices method and instructions if provided. Duties also include: connect/disconnect IT equipment, relocate/lift and plug the equipment in new locations. Follow documented procedures to image, configure and deploy workstations to match department or unit-specific configurations, complying with all UCDH security policies, procedures and HIPAA regulations. The candidate must have knowledge and experience with computer hardware and software products. The primary focus will be to provide advanced, remote support for customers throughout the entire UCDH coverage area. Other responsibilities include helping deploy and install IT client devices for IT Infrastructure projects. This position will exercise initiative and judgment in applying established principles and best practices. This position requires someone with technical skills, people skills and someone that can work in a hospital setting around doctors, nurses and patients. A successful candidate will be someone that has hands on experience providing remote computer support on the phone and with hands-on knowledge of PCs, mobile devices, printers and application installation. HOURS: Monday thru Friday typically between 7am to 6pm (any combination of days / varied shift hours) and occasional weekends SUPERVISOR: Justin Parker LOCATION: IT Infrastructure, Alhambra Cannery QUALIFICATIONS: This position will be responsible for supporting computer devices and projects for the IT Infrastructure team. This position must have advanced knowledge in the support of desktop/laptop, mobile devices, computer hardware, peripherals, Windows and Mac operating systems, and application software in an enterprise environment. Must be able to multi-task. Ability to work independently and with the team, set priorities, organize work and meet deadlines. Candidate should be able to talk clearly on the phone and should be able to give and take instructions in a professional way. Able to provide high-level of technical support on the phone while remotely logging into the computers to resolve issues. Take instructions from the team-lead and adapt to changes in priorities in a dynamic environment. DUTIES: Work closely with IT department teams and customers to deploy IT client devices. Occasionally lift materials up to 30 lbs. Be able to push dolly/carts with equipment loaded. Work in busy office environment with frequent interruptions.
