The incumbent maintains system security through regular system patch updates, firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems. This position is also responsible for managing several servers and researching and providing solutions to system problems. Your future duties and responsibilities Essential job functions include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change. Security Responsibilities • Manages all security updates for servers • Manages firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems • Defines network security policy and procedures • Generates reports for security exceptions and violations and provides to management • Takes appropriate actions to resolve security exceptions • Manages Allegiance certificate authority/PKI infrastructure Network Engineering Responsibilities • Maintains, deploys and upgrades routers, DNS servers and DHCP servers • Manages Terminal servers System Analyst Responsibilities • Researches and provides solutions for problems that arise • Researches new business services • Programs as needed • Manage Oracle and Linux Servers Additional functions (non essential): Performs software and operating system tests. Performs related or other assigned duties as required or directed. Provides general tech support as needed. Required qualifications to be successful in this role Required Skills: Minimum Education: College Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field in the absence of equivalent work experience. Certification(s) Recommended: RHCE, CCNA, CCNE Minimum Experience: Five years experience in a job involving security, network engineering and system analysis preferred and overall 10+ years of IT experience. Other Qualifications: • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Cisco, Wiresharkl, Oracle, Terminal Services, Open SSL, Apache, Word, Excel, Windows NT, and Outlook, MRTG, MediaWiki.. ?
