The Application Developer will assist in the development of formal project plans related to assigned application development projects, apply service oriented architecture application design concepts and collaborate with key stakeholders, users and colleagues to elicit technical requirement specifications for new and existing applications. Additionally, the Application Developer will design applications and user interfaces taking into account application performance and usability, develop comprehensive documentation ensure data integrity and ongoing application support and integration efforts with other systems. The Application Developer will also ensure appropriate use of application of security standards and policies, analyze application performance and provide ongoing application support for Database Status Interface, COMIT Bill lookup and Crystal Reports web interface and others, as needed. Desired Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering (or related) OR combination of relevant professional experience and education. • Three or more years of experience developing complex object oriented programs and dynamic web sites using.NET (C# , VB); HTML, JavaScript, CSS; exposure to other alternate technologies such as Java and PHP is desired, but not required. • Demonstrated experience with SQL Server or Oracle; • Detailed knowledge and experience with complex object oriented design principals; • Front-end design and development experience. • Ability to develop reports using tools such as SQL queries in Crystal Reports or Cognos. • Skills in performing systems testing in the web environment, including unit, string, parallel, user acceptance, stress, and regression testing. Ability to carry out the testing process in a clear, complete, technically sound, and well-documented manner. • Detailed knowledge of Windows Servers operating systems and utilities, as well as familiar with Windows domain file sharing environment and a basic understanding of networking infrastructure. • Familiar with development and version control tools such as Visual Studio, Subversion and Jira. • Knowledge of project management methods and tools such as MS Project and Agile (or similar). • Possess verbal and written communication skills sufficient to effectively relate technical and non-technical information to others, develop system documentation and to deliver presentations on technical topics. • Demonstrated experience developing applications using service oriented architecture (SOA); experience with SOAP or Rest. • Knowledge of single-sign on technologies such as Shibboleth (Preferred). • Knowledge of web security testing and monitoring tools such as AppScan and AppDynamics; as well as incident/request management tools, such as ServiceNow (Preferred).
