Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify program intent, identify problems, and suggest changes. Write, analyze, review, and rewrite programs, using workf low chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to gu ide end users. Correct errors by making appropriate changes and then rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced. Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct. Compile and write documentatio n of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program. Investigate whether networ ks, workstations, the central processing unit of the system, and/or peripheral equipment are responding to a programs instructions. Prepare detailed workflow c harts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language. Perform syst ems analysis and programming tasks to maintain and control the use of computer systems software as a systems programmer. Consult with and assist computer operat ors or system analysts to define and resolve problems in running computer programs. Perform unit testing Assist in system and user testing Fix errors and bugs t hat are identified in the course of testing. REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of rapid web development, using HTML, Java, JavaScript, Angular JS 2+ years of mobile development in either Android or iOS 5+ years experience as a Software Developer with a focus on Java EE solutions A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures Familiarity with popular open source projects including Spring, Hibernate, Android Studio, IntelliJ, Ant, Maven, Junit, Git Understanding of the REST architecture Familiarity with the NodeJS ecosystem Familiarity with grid systems and preprocessors such as Bootstrap, SASS, and Less Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients timelines and budgets Ability to quickly learn and apply new skills No SQL development (e.g. Cassandra, DCSolr, etc) experience is preferred Experience with Micro Services and Cloud technologies is preferred.
