(EST), Tuesday, December 6, 2011] Description of Work: This position serves as a Senior Programmer/Analyst and will perform systems analysis, design, coding, creating test plans, testing, and documentation for the data to be sent. This position must interact with both technical and business analysts at NCAOC. The individual must have the ability to communicate effectively in oral or written form and the ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship within and outside the development teams. Expertise in the design and implementation of criminal justice applications is highly desirable. Responsibilities will include the following: • Analysis of existing systems and needed enhancements • Documentation of requirements • Design and Mapping of data to be passed from NCAOC to NICS • Code and Development of programs to pass data/reports to NICS • Testing and debugging of data reporting programs • Interaction with other federal agencies Required Skills: . Experience in IMS and DB2 databases. • Experience in writing, compiling, and testing COBOL programs. • Experience in writing and executing MVS/JCL • Ability to fully document requirements. Desired Skills • Experience in working with Criminal Justice Systems.
