Job Description : Typical Tasks • Defines the skills, competencies and talents for architecture team members; • Leads the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers to derive useful business context; • Acts as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects; • Assists in establishing the architecture team, including the recruitment, development and maintenance of the architecture staff; • Directs cross-enterprise architectural activities to manage and simplify the IT Landscape; • Confirms recommendations are based on business relevance, appropriate timing and deployment complexity; • Leads the development and execution of a communication and education plan for the IT system architecture; • Maintains an accurate portfolio of business capabilities, strategies, and opportunities and the corresponding underpinning information technologies and services; • Leads the IT enterprise-wide technical and business discussions relative to future enterprise direction; • Develops IT system strategy, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development, and aligns strategy with organizational goals; • Supports all architectural disciplines and champions architectural initiatives; • Develops an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies; • Reviews existing business processes, capabilities and establishes metrics to improve processes, as well as support of all architectural disciplines under their direction; • Develops IT enterprise-wide policies, standards, guidelines and procedures, and promotes the EA process, outcome and results to IT teams; • Leads a specialized architecture governance process and ensures adherence to roadmaps, standards, and policies; • Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements and manages exceptions to architectural standards at a specialized/portfolio level; • Forecast product/service requirements based on near-term and long-term business and IT demand; • Ensures compatibility with existing solutions, infrastructure, services, and strategic requirements; • Collaborates in the definition and implementation of the enterprise disaster recovery approach and plan for the recovery of the IT service portfolio and environment, to meet the need for immediate business continuity and resumption; • Provides strategic consultation to clients and IT teams and advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities; • Works with business leaders to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy; • Analyzes, designs, and develops roadmaps and implementation plans based upon a current vs; future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint, including detecting critical deficiencies and recommending solutions for improvement; • Performs ongoing architecture quality review activities and analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements; • Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities; • Provides leadership, technology guidance and mentors others; develops, motivates, and directs staff to create a team environment; • Collaborates with other IT teams in the management of technical change, verification of testing results, and monitoring of technical standards compliance and deployment; Training and Experience: Sufficient education, training, and expe   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
