Client a wholly owned, subsidiary of Fresenius Medical Care North America has an immediate opening for a full time Interface Developer. The Interface Developer role will be based in either our Durham, NC or Danville, VA office supporting our Acumen Electronic Health Records product. HITSGs Acumen EHR is a web-based application for physician practices that allows nephrologists and their staffs to access patient data via the internet while remaining HIPAA compliant for privacy. Responsibilities :

Understand and internalize the project mission and associated company objectives for the effort. Provide expert knowledge and responsibility for designing, developing, testing and maintaining interfaces using the Mirth Connect or similar interface engine and all related inter-system data transmissions at HITSG. Setup and maintain interfaces for Acumen EHR, Acumen Exchange and other systems. Design, develop and configure all required components of the interface engine for building efficient interfaces. Coordinate and assist to update, upgrade and maintain the interface engine for optimal performance and functionality. Prepare technical specifications and release plans as needed. Design interface transformations to reformat HL7, XML transactions based on sending and receiving systems. Conduct thorough unit and string tests. Support system integration and quality assurance testing. Work independently to develop, test and deploy high-quality software for integration processes that range in complexity from low to high. Author and execute unit testing strategies and results, related to all development efforts. Identify technical alternatives/improvements and present them to tech leads and architects. Monitor, Analyze and report all message based interface using various interface tools. Work with the technical team lead for direction/design and collaboratively with team developers, Architects, DBAs, Integrations Administrators and others to achieve cohesive, compliant software deliveries. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Requires a 4-year degree from a technical school or accredited college, course work focused on Information Technology, or eight (8) years software development experience, or a combination of training and experience equivalent to the requirements.
Minimum 4 years IT development experience.
Three-plus years of advanced experience with the HL7 messaging services and Interface tool like Mirth Connect, Siemens Open link, Sun SeeBeyond eGate, Tibco messaging services etc.
Experience with JavaScript programming. Relational database development experience especially Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL SQL queries.
Experience with Healthcare standards like HIPAA and SOX is plus. Demonstrable knowledge and experience of software development lifecycle and methodologies spanning development, testing, release and deployment management.
Strong technical development and relational platform design experience especially with systems integration and interface development.
Good communication and writing skills. Must be able to read and comprehend complex technical documents.
Must be able to work extended hours as needed and limited overnight travel will be required as needed...
