Description: The ESA II (Application Integration/Cloud) role will be responsible for service delivery and project deliverables within the application support team. This role will identify gaps, needs, and lead improvement efforts to improve service delivery in applications supported by Brown County department of Information Technology. This role will be considered a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more key technologies under the application domain. A key part of this role will be identifying and implementing solutions using modern application development techniques and/or target cloud deployments. It is expected that this role will operate independently, solve complex problems, and fulfill requests with minimal supervision. In the ESA II (Application Integration/Cloud)role, you will be tasked to provide engineering services, participate in the implementation design sessions for applications, monitor and troubleshoot those issues that may impact the supported systems. As a member of the Application Support team, the ESA II (Application Integration/Cloud)will provide secondary support to other members of the team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 1. Communicate. Effectively communicates with customers, management and coworkers. Shares appropriate work order and project information. Coordinates and schedules meetings with users of all levels and is punctual. Keeps calendar up to date. 2. Self-Directed. Works and researches independently with little or no direct supervision to perform day-to-day operations. Ensures work is followed through to completion and on time. 3. Prioritize. Performs activity based on urgency by logically prioritizing work orders, projects, maintenance and break-fix work. 4. Troubleshoot. Performs intermediate and advanced troubleshooting. Identifies root cause of problems. Identifies roadblocks and finds possible alternatives with appropriate urgency. Escalates problems to management, the customer and/or vendors. Deploys solutions in a timely manner. 5. System Maintenance. Maintains existing systems, programs, interfaces and reports according to changing requirements, user needs, funding changes and/or best practices. This includes: a. Investigating impact of modifications and adjustments to existing systems software and interfaces. b. Managing and performing system upgrades, migration or retirement by coordinating, planning, scheduling, testing and communicating changes through the change management process. c. System monitoring and performance evaluation, making recommendations as needed. d. Preventative maintenance e. Ensuring backup and recovery of system and data f. Working with the vendor or partner as required. 6. Training. a. Responsible for identifying and providing training and assistance where required. b. Identifies and requests necessary self-training. 7. Team Participation. a. Attends and actively contributes to department, team and ad-hoc meetings b. Works with Help Desk staff and provides 2nd level support forunresolved work orders. c. Participates in the Information Technology after hours call rotation d.
