Perform in a senior developer role and be responsible for complex application development assignments and will be responsible for multiple service domain applications within a rapidly evolving Service Oriented Architecture. Act as a technical resource to program/project staff in the plan development, testing, and implementation processes. He/she will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the available technology, tools, and existing designs and will work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors. This role will require coordination of assignments on multiple concurrent technology projects that are often complex in scope, risk and/or span. Analyze business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign Java applications and work with web services. He/she will develop original and complex code and will verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. He/she will lead and/or perform modeling, simulations and analysis efforts, participate in overall systems testing and support the migration of applications to production. Develop new technical documentation and participate in the development of department technical procedures. He/she will assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and will participate in updating and testing of the business continuation plan. Work collaboratively with other IT team members, server, network, DBA, architecture, information security, data transmissions and project management support personnel as well as business partners and end-users. PROJECT NOTES/DETAILS Essential Skills / Knowledge / Experience: - Overall IT experience of 8+ years • Demonstrated 6+ years in enterprise level j2EE application development consisting Java, Spring, Spring MVC, JSP, JQuery, HTML5, Ajax and Hibernate • Demonstrated 2+ years in Spring Integration, Spring Batch and Quartz/AutoSys type of work. • Demonstrated experience in using SOA technologies such as Rest Services, JMS, WSDL, XML Schemas & SOAP • Experienced in participating in scrum planning, user story development, daily standups, VersionOne/JIRA etc • Mandatory experience in Test driven development practices using tools such as Junit, Groovy, JMock, Mockito, Spock etc • Demonstrated experience in using SQL & relational databases and performance tuning • Experienced in performing paired code reviews and clean coding practices • Prior experience in leading large scale integration projects • Ability to solve problems within area of control quickly and decisively and the understanding of when to escalate issues outside area of control • Demonstrated Analyst experience - ability to gather and create both functional and technical requirements and build specifications and other documentation. • Must have strong interpersonal/communication skills and have the ability to articulate complex technical issues and ideas in easy to understand business terms • Preferred Skills: - Bachelors degree in computer science - Brokerage, banking and other financial services experience   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
