IT Project Management IT Experience - Manager (Jobs in Seattle, WA)   Requirement id 3313 Job title Manager Job location in Seattle, WA Skills required IT Project Management, IT Experience, -, Open Date 21-Mar-2011 Close Date Job type Not specified Duration 27 Months Compensation DOE Status requirement --- Job interview type ---    Email Recruiter: coolsoft Job Description Manager: IT Project Management, IT Experience, -, Required knowledge, skills and abilities to: • Independently plan, initiate and manage complex, multiple stakeholder IT projects, including large, major projects that are vital to WSDOT program delivery and impact various business units throughout the state. • Utilize expert knowledge of IT Project Management techniques and methodologies to manage business system requirements gathering, RFP preparation and execution, successful Vendor system implementation and integration in order to ensure that stakeholder and customer requirements are met. • Complete assigned tasks on time, within budget and consistent with WSDOT IT standards. • Utilize superior communication and mediation skills to facilitate and communicate with customers, stakeholders and Vendors Specific duties include: • Interact and consult with senior and midlevel managers of WSDOT business units and Legislative Staff. • Work with clients to gain an understanding of the business needs that the clients are seeking to fulfill with the systems development or implementation effort. • Elicit business requirements from clients to define and document system requirement specifications. • Coordinate and manage system requirements documentation. • Organize and coordinate the participation of user groups and other project support staff. • Establish user interest, support and acceptance for the project. Involve the client and other users in the development and review of project plans and deliverables. • Develop and conduct the projects Request for Proposal to WSDOT OIT standards. • Create the RFP Vendor proposal evaluation instrument to WSDOT OIT standards. • Facilitate WSDOT Subject Matter Expert (SME) evaluation of RFP Responses. • Assist WSDOT IT Contracts in the scoring and evaluation of SME evaluations of Vendor submittals. • Monitor and manage Vendor schedules and work plans • Coordination of the RFP successful vendor and WSDOT implementation schedules and work plans. • Develop and maintain detailed project work plans using the standard IT project management tool (MS Project). • Develop and maintain project resource plans, schedules and budgets. • Manage project change control and issue resolution processes to PMI and WSDOT IT PMO standards. • Maintain open channels of communication between project teams and management. • Coordinate with WSDOT Security, Ferries Security, Washington State Patrol, DHS and Coast Guard stakeholders as appropriate. • Provide weekly, bi-weekly and quarterly status reporting to WSDOT IT management.   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
