Note: Online Submission Submission Deadline: 8/22/2019 9:15 AM EST Start Date: 9/2/2019 End Date: 6/30/2020 Client: Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Description: Position Deliverables/Tasks and Qualifications Department is seeking a project manager to serve as the Data Analytics Implementation Coordinator. • Other Strategic Initiatives as Identified: The department is recognized as a leader in multiple domains and as such is frequently given the responsibility to lead highly visible, and important initiatives. The department may use the selected candidate for additional analysis, project management, coordination and agency liaison tasks. DELIVERABLES/TASKS: Serve as a trusted advisor to: • Work with software developers, business analysts, data analysts, other project managers, and other technical and non-technical subject-matter experts to develop detailed project schedules, execute tasks and coordinate project activities. • Manage and monitor project progress within the constraints of the project management plan, schedule, budget and resources. Proactively identify risks and issues affecting project schedules and objectives and appropriately escalate these issues, with recommendations, to senior managers. Effectively identify change and use appropriate protocols to manage and communication this change effectively. • Collect, maintain and distribute project status meeting minutes to stakeholders • Provide routine status reports and briefings to project team, customers and senior managers. Maintain ongoing and effective communications among all project stakeholders, both business and technical. Effectively coordinate resources and assignments among project assignees. • Adhere to the DEP project management methodology, standards, policies and procedures, as well as those technical standards and policies relevant to assigned projects. Make recommendations to improve processes and policies. • Manage relationships with DEP program area business partners. Develop strong and collaborative relationships with customers to achieve positive project outcomes. • Work with multiple program areas to coordinate tasks and assignments, conduct meetings to solve problems and set direction, and effectively communicate a vision to increase stakeholder engagement. • Demonstrate strong relationship and interpersonal skills in working with technical staff, program staff and vendor community. • Comply with DEP project management standards, processes and procedures Appendix B: Position Deliverables/Tasks and Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: At minimum, this staff augmentation position requires the following qualifications – • EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology major, or equivalent work experience. • CERTIFICATION: Project Management Professional (PMP) • EXPERIENCE: - 5+ years experience in IT project management, specifically in managing medium-t-large scale software application development projects. - 5+ years experience in managing multiple projects concurrently. - 5+ years experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project - In-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing software projects and programs - Documented and proven ability to formulate project plans for managing and monitoring progress on software development projects; to think logically and to analyze and solve problems; compile, organize and analyze data; to evaluate and monitor projects, plans and schedules and   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
