To support related hardware and software with the primary objective to protect the firms data from loss due to system failure or design and to support backup-recovery in a cost-effective manner while maintaining safe-sound practices. Using knowledge of systems engineering, computer programming and system administration experience, effectively manage existing systems. May document standard operation of a system or technical measures taken or recommended to improve a systems functionalities. Core Functions: Implementation, Migration and Support for new SAN/Storage infrastructure as well as on-going projects (i.e. SAN Fabrics, Replication, SAN/NAS, Storage Management Systems, BC/DR etc.) Monitor and maintain the SAN/Storage/Backup infrastructure. Provide BAU and Break-fix support Resolve various technical issues, analyze system performance and address bottlenecks and other potential problems. Support the integration and implementation of systems and applications on specific platforms. Coordinate testing on new hardware and software. Secure against potential vulnerabilities by complying with legal, regulatory and compliance controls. Support preventative maintenance to minimize risks and production outages. Support host platforms by specifying the scale and capabilities of the storage platforms in which they will be working. Perform on-going enhancements, optimizations and improvement for reduced meantime-to-repair/resolution, reduce production downtime, increased performance. Comply with Fannie Maes technology roadmap and be prepared to learn and adopt new technologies. Cross-train and collaborate for continuous improvement. Comply with Fannie Maes ITIL framework (Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management).
