Position requires significant experience providing technical direction for engineering and implementation teams and will play a supporting role in recommending future solutions. Local (MD/DC/VA) candidate Minimum 15 years of experience as a Lead Engineer for the design of complex wireless network systems, including demonstrated expertise in system architecture and L1/L2/L3 network design. Significant hands-on experience managing the design, implementation, configuration, testing, and optimization of wireless-centric networks. Expertise with RF test equipment, tools and methods. Ability to research Next Generation Wireless systems (e.g., LTE-Advanced and 5G) and contribute to system development planning. Ability to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for wireless architectures for passenger trains. Possess domain knowledge of train operations and onboard Wi-Fi and RF environments (or equivalent), and have significant experience working onsite in challenging and austere field service engineering environments. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, exceptional attention to details and the ability to present confidently to a variety of stakeholders including Senior and Executive leadership. Varied RF engineering experience and interference modeling knowledge a plus. Familiarity with project management methodology (e.g., PMBOK) preferred. Experience with vendor and supply chain management. Expertise w/ industry best practices and service delivery frameworks (e.g., PMI, ITIL, ISO9000, CMMI) preferred.
