Fix before they spiral and make global outages. Skills = 1. folks that have had that level of experience, building monitors (not EASIEST – knows it is niche), have typically found that folks coming from app dev bg, systems engineering bg, devops. Folks wanting to make jump into Niche role. 2. Background in apps/infrastructure. They have legacy monitoring tool called sitescope, within this they have several monitors set up to check URLs (make sure up and running), taking these URLs and moving them over to newer monitoring tool called catchpoint. Look at different URLs set up in sitescope. Understand them and build them out in catchpoint Catchpoint, scom, moogsoft, incharge (monitors they use) Seeing candidates that are supporting the monitors when issues, but not building and configuring. Description: Technology Operations is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the Enterprise Availability and Performance Monitoring Team as a Consultant with a primary focus on developing complex monitors for application performance, data analytics, URL/WEB/CLOUD monitors, and infrastructure . The team is responsible for building end to end monitoring solutions across the entire technology stack to prevent system outages to ensure uninterrupted customer transactions and experiences. This individual will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining various monitoring systems to enable proactive management for internal and external applications. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about their job and has the technical expertise to succeed. Responsibilities: • Participating in the design, configuration, development, integration, testing, implementation, documentation and support of infrastructure and application Monitoring environments. • Participate in the management of Infrastructure Monitoring services through a deep understanding of the primary Manager of Manager application and its requirements. • Work with various infrastructure teams to develop, apply and support monitors, including trouble ticket automation, for processes, tools and environments. • The Monitoring Engineer will be responsible for the review of all application \ infrastructure monitors, ensuring high quality and timely alerts and notifications. • Oversees the health of the monitoring environment by keeping current with upgrades and patches and by troubleshooting and resolving issues with associated tools. • Analyze monitoring metrics and help determine key performance indicators and anomalies within platforms • Convert URL monitors from legacy monitoring tools to current technologies (e.g. Sitescope to Catchpoint) • Serves as subject matter expert in tools using logging, real user monitoring and network performance monitoring. • Mentors junior level technical staff within the functional monitoring area of the IT organization. • Leads tr   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
