The preferred candidate will provide enterprise monitoring services for infrastructure and applications. Engineers on this team are responsible for designing and building effective monitoring solutions and maintaining all monitoring technologies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with a large-scale project team to apply enterprise-level monitoring knowledge in developing solutions for infrastructure, application monitoring and business process monitoring using both enterprise standard and application-specific solutions. Consult with application developers and infrastructure platform engineers to document requirements and recommend the most effective monitoring solutions. Create detailed design documents based on monitoring solutions developed for projects POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Experience with large enterprise-class monitoring and alerting tools. Knowledge of Solarwinds, IBM Netcool Onmibus, IBM Netcool Impact, and/or MIR3 is a plus Previous experience as a consultant or other project-focused role is an asset Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix 3+ years enterprise systems management experience Capable of taking business requirements and building monitoring solutions to meet those needs Familiarity with ITSM service management delivery including processing of incidents, problems, changes, and events Minimum 5 years IT experience Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills Strong oral and written communication skills Quickly build a high level of engagement with process teams for monitoring alignment Work collaboratively with enterprise architects, business analysts and application engineers to develop a full-stack monitoring solution Align business monitoring requirements with existing monitoring standards while informing the continuous improvement cycle to ensure both project and business run objectives are met POSITION IS ON SITE IN COLUMBUS, OH.
