Responsibilities: Represents information systems services and solutions that fulfill information services needs Develops best practices and strategies for driving technology innovation in the agency Collaborates with agency business groups and agency leaders (e.g., aids in making informed decisions about the required investment and risks of specific technology related initiatives; develops delivery approaches that can be supported by ois) Collaborates with external stakeholders (e.g., vendors; other state agencies; private sector organizations) to identify technology needs and drive innovative initiatives Provides consultation to ois senior leadership and other agency leadership for establishing total cost of ownership models Advises on requests for proposals (rfps) and requests for qualifications (rfqs) to ensure strategic direction is met for key objectives interim deliverables, and measurements Supports the technology solutions and controls board Leads the implementation of incident management discipline within application development (e.g.,reporting; tracking; efficiency; timing; roles and responsibilities; impacts) Works with information systems project employees and with agency project and program managers to ensure the project team and product owners are providing appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products and projects effectively Identifies and addresses software development lifecycle (sdlc) deficiencies (e.g., those that conflict the most with the business vision; specific gaps in the existing operation) Directs sdlc evaluations and measures existing processes to provide a baseline for future improvements Keeps current with emerging technology developments and agency business activities and learns how developments may influence the direction of the agencys information technology investments Communicates with information systems managers to define the capacity to fulfill information services needs with the appropriate solutions and services Drives information systems focus on agency business group customer satisfaction Assesses agency business group satisfaction with ois services and identifies opportunities for improvement using information gathered through the ois customer service desk, interviews, and surveys with agency staff and affiliates Identifies relevant service levels and metrics for success and customer satisfaction from ongoing communication Engages information systems staff and/or external providers (e.g., office of information technology other government agencies; companies doing business with the state) to develop comprehensive and coordinated responses Reports on activities, communications, performance monitoring, and overall customer satisfaction status to information systems leadership Researches most difficult and complex information system problems Facilitates and escalates customer issues and outages to produc   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
