The successful candidate will be working with ITD staff developers to complete the work. The work location is primarily Boise, Idaho area. The majority of time will be required to be done in Boise at the departments headquarters building; however, some remote work is feasible for the well-qualified candidate. Contractors are required to indicate the candidates primary residence location to aid ITD in determining applicability of a fully burdened rate, and its subsequent evaluation of the Contractors rate proposal. Agency Expected Deliverables - Work with ITD staff to validate data mart elements and approach to ensure the finished data mart will in fact provide the necessary data elements for the in-scope reports – Anticipate one week to on-board and understand the direction of the project - Design and document database table structures for each assigned dimension or fact table based on the reporting requirements identified for that table – we will negotiate time required but will initially anticipate two weeks for each assignment set (each assignment set will consist of either four dimension tables; two dimension tables and one fact table; or, two fact tables) – this expects the consultant will work with ITD staff to understand, define and document the requirements for the dimension and/or fact table and to clarify the source of the data, define ETL approach and ensure all requirements are identified and set prior to SSIS work on the assignment set. - Create assigned data mart dimensions and/or fact tables – Using SSIS create the ETL packages that will result in the desired data mart dimension table or fact table. This includes testing and migration from Development environment to Test environments. Several dimensions are very simple and consequently should take less time to complete. We will negotiate time required but initially anticipate one dimension per week or two weeks per fact table, depending on the specifics of each. - Migration of dimensions into Production – Assist in migration and testing of data mart packages into the production environment and validate proper scheduling, function and management of the packages Specific Skills Required (Programming languages, databases, operating systems, etc.) - Advanced experience (5+ years) implementing, running and troubleshooting SSIS ETL packages with specific experience with the SSIS 2012 - Advanced experience (5+ years) designing and developing complex SQL Server (T-SQL) queries and stored procedures to support SSIS package development including: error handling, multiple schemas, multiple data sources for input, multiple ETL branches, data type and value conversion, data type and value standardization, value based validations including complex dependencies - Use of custom and third party SSIS add-in components - Experience with SAP Business Objects is desirable - Experience (2+ years) with .net (C#) programming - Experience (2+ years) with Oracle and MS SQL Change Data Capture (CDC) - Excellent English language communication skills – both verbal and written   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
