Interested in Amazon Echo, Alexa and their Mobile Apps? We are building new experiences with Alexa-enabled devices, including Echo, Echo Dot, Amazon Tap and Fire TV.

We are looking for Android Mobile developers that has a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products. A commitment to ownership, hustle, and strong communication skills are a must. Creating reliable, scalable, and high performance products requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and practical experience building high performance mobile experiences.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and maintenance of key mobile system features.
Will work in small Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.

Basic Qualifications
5-10+ years experience building successful production software systems

Computer Science qualification (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field)
Experience working with cloud software services
Development experience defining, developing and maintaining Android experiances
4+ years of experience in Android app development
4+ years of experience in 2 or more of the follow programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++)
Experience working with open-source technologies (Linux, SQLite, Spring, Hibernate)


Preferred Qualifications

The ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life.
Experience working with cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
Experience with Amazon internal development tools, services processes.
Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
