This person will be involved in the architecture and design of the Virtual Gateway system. Responsibilities: • Responsible for providing technical leadership on architectural initiatives to bridge the functional to technical gaps • Consult with business stakeholders to develop and maintain an architecture design in alignment with business strategy and objectives. • Work with business stake holders, support teams, project management, external vendors, developers and advising them on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies • Consult with Enterprise Architect, infrastructure team, applications teams, data team and security team to create an architecture conforming to the enterprise and industry standards. • Design and architect scalable, distributed Services and Applications that integrate across different technologies • Take part in architecture and technical design reviews making suggestions for improvements or identification of issues to support current and future business/infrastructure needs • Understand the context of the environment in which a strategy is developed and take necessary actions to maintain the strategy as the internal and external environments change. • Present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form to a broad audience of business and technical teams • Evaluate projects from a technical stance, guaranteeing that the development methods used are correct and practical • Lead and mentor other engineers on the team. • Design/develop critical framework components/reusable modules • Assist with both production and development technical problem resolution and root cause identification • Review results for ADA compliance, vulnerability, performance testing and recommend mitigation strategies Required Skills: • 5 + years as a technical architect with progressive, broad applied technical work experience designing technology architecture. • 7+ of J2EE Development experience applying object oriented programming techniques to develop reusable components and services. • Extensive, real-world experience designing enterprise software and defining software architectures (UML, design patterns, SOA, etc.) • Deep understanding of design patterns, architectural patterns and integration patterns. • Experience in design and development of multi-tier mission critical applications using/in: o Operating Systems (Linux/AIX, Windows) o Web and Application Servers (Apache/Weblogic/JBoss/Tomcat) o Database (Oracle 10g or 11g) o Messaging middleware (MQ Series) o Open source frameworks (Spring/Hibernate/CXF/Junit etc.) o Single Sign-on Solutions o Network, Security, Firewalls o Capacity Planning, sizing o Load balancing, Fault tolerance, high availability • Experience in defining and enforcing architectural, design and development guidelines • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies • Experience in ADA compliance, vulnerability and performance assessments • Expertise in evaluating, selecting, and integrating innovative technologies • Influencing skills over a wide spectrum of business, management and technical teams • Ability to compel issue resolution across assorted groups within a corporate framework • Ability to operate across mu   Call 502-379-4456 Ext 100 for more details.
